He also took our group through a winding swim through which was amazing. He did a fantastic job for us as he pointed out sea life. Alex provided a very good pre-dive safety briefing, he repeated important points numerous times to make it clear to new divers what the expectations were for the dives. There were 4 dive masters on the boat and they seemed to have divided the divers up by ability which was wonderful. The boat was huge and there was plenty of room. Despite the fact there were 18-20 divers on their boat it didn't feel that way. Bottom line: a great place to relax in a beach chair, eat, and snorkel all day.We went on a two tank dive as an excursion on our cruise with Carnival. My teen & tween were slightly bored after leaving the AI but they loved that the hotel had a pool table. It’s north side location makes for a long cab ride to get to activities south of San Miguel. Housekeeping was generous with the bottled water and our room was promptly cleaned daily. I thought the beds were comfortable and the showers ran hot with great water pressure. After a trip into town and around the island, we decided to spend most of our time at the little beach right in front of the Playa Azul. Roberto at the front desk quickly found us a new room when we reported a noisy AC in our initial room, and Guadalupe was always quick with a cheery smile and hot coffee at the breakfast buffet.
